Chris Miller:

Chris Miller was born in October 1961, and grew up in Hull in the UK.

His first sighting of an Interceptor was as a twelve year-old newspaper delivery boy, delivering to the big house situated at the end of a winding country lane; it was worth the long cycle ride just for a glimpse of a fantastic sexy shape: and the brand new maroon MkIII Interceptor on the drive was just as good!

Chris's Next Jensen sighting was while working in London in 1979.

He spotted a smashed up yellow Interceptor on a transporter awaiting some unknown Destination

The registration plate of  “CHR 1S” made a lasting impression.

Fast-forwarding some twenty odd years of dull Company Car ownership and then, at last, time, money and an empty garage all came together and a proper Interceptor hunt was on.

Chris's first Interceptor was chassis 136-8801, a 1973 "J" series MkIII, which started life as a company director’s executive express. Originally “Havana Brown” (nice colour for cigars, crap for cars !) It’s was resprayed “Carmen Red”. This was the car that made the trip to Istanbul.

Istanbul Trip

Three years of ownership, 9,000 miles, and ten million smiles…
