Gilk's Cafe

So, as spring has finally sprung, after enough rain to make Noah nervous, we decided to have a Monday club meet up and take the cars for a spin.

We chose Gilks Cafe as it was roughly central to the 3 of us, and it was a new venue with a good reputaiton. Link below to their web site.

Gilks Cafe

It was a bright and sunny spring Sunday morning, but with a very chilly breeze if you were in the shade.

We got there a little early, but there were still plenty of cars and bikes on show.

On arrival I had been speaking to a bloke who was asking about my car. We both spotted the cream coloured car above and commented we had never seen, or even heard of BSA cars.

He was very surprised as he was the currator of a car museum!

Lo and behold, and few minutes later, a black BSA car arrived.

After a full English breakfast and a catch up, we headed through the Cotswolds through Chipping Norton (

Folly

Folly 2

Folly's were built by wealthy Visctorians to show off their wealth. They have no purpose other than "Look at what I can afford to build!"

On a slightly more sinister note, there is a nuclear fallout bunker underneath it...

We took the time to stop off for tea and cakes at the cafe, and enjoy the afternoon sun

After posing for a few final snaps, it was time to head home after a great drive out!
